FairFest

19th, 20th and 21st AUGUST 2016

FairFest is Fairford’s very own free, independent music and beer festival.

Now in it's 7th year, Fairfest is a family-friendly weekend featuring a mix of lively and laid back music, amazing food and drink, and great activities to keep the kids (of all ages!) entertained.

As usual we have our full bar with a huge array of real ales from local and not so local microbreweries, amazing food served all day and performances from some great bands and solo artists.

2016 sees the return of our Kids Zone with bouncy castles, face painting, henna and magic den building. We also have trade stands, terrier racing, and touch rugby kindly being run by Fairford Rugby Club.

We will be adding information about the bands and traders who will be joining us at FairFest this year, as well as general information about the festival in the run-up to the event, so keep checking back. If you’re a band, solo artist or trader who would like to be considered for FairFest then please contact us.

With thanks to the Ernest Cook Trust for allowing us to use The Walnut Tree Field, and to Fairford Rugby Club and volunteers for their help during the event.

info and sponsors

FairFest is a free event but it costs a huge amount of time and money to put on. We can only continue to organise FairFest if you all support us by buying your food and drinks from within the festival site. Please don’t bring any food or drinks into the festival site that have been bought elsewhere - if you do you’ll be asked to leave by our on site security guards.

Although entry to the festival is completely free there will be a small charge of £3 for a child's wristband that will give them full and unlimited access to all activities in the Kids Zone for the entire day of purchase, or £5 for the whole weekend.

FairFest is held in The Walnut Tree Field in Fairford. The site is owned by the Ernest Cook Trust who very kindly allow us to put the event on every year. Please respect the site by using the bins provided for any rubbish. Please respect the people who live in houses around the festival site by leaving quietly and respecting their property and gardens.

In the last 6 years of FairFest, and with your support, we have been able to donate over £2500 to local groups and clubs; Fairford Rugby Club Youth and Seniors, Fairford Festival Trust, Fairford Primary School, Fairford Tennis Club, and Farrell School of Irish Dance have all benefited as a result of your support of FairFest.

So come help make our 7th festival even bigger and better, having a fantastic time and helping do great things for your town and community.

The Walnut Tree Field is located at the east end of Park Street and opposite Fairford Cricket Club. Please use GL7 4JJ for satnav. There is limited on street parking and a carpark at the top of the market place in Fairford, a short walk down Park Street from the festival site. There is strictly no camping on The Walnut Tree Field.
